Alex and Mitchell's Texas Summer Wedding

There just aren't enough words to say how much we adored this couple!! Their vendors were great and photos AMAZING!! Here is a bit about the couple and their love story from the couple.

We met after Alex had just moved back to West Texas, and we were celebrating our mutual friend's birthday. After recovering from a less than elegant introduction on Mitchell’s part, we connected by being two Aggies, stranded out in the desert, with a love for A&M, dogs, and Shiner beer. Despite being with a big group, we found ourselves locked in conversation for a while; after which, we left very curious about the other. The next week, Mitchell called and asked her out like a true gentleman. Over the next couple of weeks we went on several dates, every chance we got to see one another, despite both our hectic travel plans.

Our story is simple, and straightforward - just two people who fell in love and didn't want to do life without each other. Our relationship has been so much more than just a whirlwind romance, but has become a deep-rooted friendship full of Jesus, deep belly laughs, countless roadtrips, copious amounts of food, being red wine and coffee snobs, and loving on our dogs as much as possible. Mitchell picked a ring in February 2016, and somehow managed to keep it a secret for 6 months. He proposed that July, in the most “Mitchell” way possible – well thought out, and romantic. He invited both our families, and several close friends to witness and celebrate at our favorite Italian restaurant, Venezia, in Midland.

The first time Alex had the realization that she was head-over-heels, in love with Mitchell was in Texas hill country, making it a special location for our wedding. Alex had always dreamed of getting married outside, under a wooden cross, with flowers in her hair since she was a kid. There was a desire for our venue to reflect our relationship – romantic, yet comfortable. We were drawn to the simple, elegant, beauty of Garden Grove. . Besides something picture-picture perfect, we wanted a space where our extensive guest list could come together, eat, drink, play games, catch up, engage in meaningful conversation, and still feel intimate and inclusive to every guest.

HillCountry Wedding: Alex and James' elegant outdoor wedding

It's hard to overstate how elegant and timeless Alex and James' wedding was. From the moment guest entered our humble gates they were met with breath taking florals and custom details. Utilizing the lush garden backdrop of our venue, their coordination team, Pink Parasol accented a classic green and white palette with the most subtle touches of blush. Guest were wowed by a endless supply of lavish flowers from Lee Warth Designs and custom details from Bee Lavish Vintage Rentals. Not to be out done, was the delectable appetizers, dinner and CAKE from Catering With A Twist and some scrumptious donuts from VooDoo Doughnuts. They danced for hours to some flawless tunes from the Royal Dukes and ended the night with a special treat for the groom from.... WHATABURGER!! A sparkler sendoff was the perfect end to this STUNNING day! We are just so delighted to have hosted this special moment in Alex and James' life and ecstatic to share these equally gorgeous photos from Julie Paisley Photography.
