If there is something that everyone who has ever visited Texas’ capital city can agree on it is that the food here is some of the best in the country, and possibly even the world -- which is one of the MANY reasons to get married in Austin!
One of the things that makes the food landscape here so amazing is not the number of fancy establishments, but the abundance of food trucks that serve up fare from BBQ to the far east. (According to Austin Monthly, over 1,000 food truck permits were issued in Austin in 2017!)
It is no wonder that this is how quite a few of our couples over the years have chosen to treat their wedding guests to an authentic taste of amazing local Austin, TX flavor at their weddings.
Delight in “Damn Good” Tacos
Known for tacos as unique as they are tasty, Torchy’s is an iconic fixture in the Austin food scene. When the “Damn Good” taco purveyor’s decked-out black, red and white truck rolled up to Garden Grove Austin last year, it served everyone three favorites: The Beef Fajita, Green Chili Pork, and Trailer Park. (Yes, fried chicken on a taco is every bit as delicious as it sounds!)
Quench Your Thirst with Craft Beer on Wheels
Torchy’s also happens to be known for its appropriately-named Diablo sauce, but fortunately, North by Northwest’s massive 74 foot Bluebird-style Beerliner was there to extinguish any flames and keep everyone hydrated!

Fall in Love with Sweet & Savory Waffles
Whether you have a massive sweet tooth or cannot get enough of savory flavors, Waffle Love ATX truly is “love at first bite!” Their authentic Belgian Liege waffle creations include classic pairings like Nutella & bananas and chicken & waffles — plus delightfully different options like grilled cheese and tomato basil soup! (Our favorite!) Their lovely truck, which is reminiscent of one of downtown Austin’s many murals, also makes the perfect backdrop for photos!

Prepare Your Tastebuds for Totally Peachy Tacos and Sliders
What do you call the most sublime synthesis of Asian and Southern food that also travels on wheels? The Peached Tortilla! This Austin-born full-service catering company is known for its ridiculously delicious tacos, bowls and sliders. They have catered more than one event at Garden Grove and were a hit every single time.
Their JapaJam Burger -- sweet tomato jam, jalepeno jack cheese, fried egg, Japanese BBQ sauce, tempura battered onion strings -- is a special favorite of ours!
